Nedbank Private Wealth and Nedgroup Trust together were named as one of the best companies to work for in Britain at The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies awards event in London yesterday. The organisation retained its position as the only private bank and trust company on the listing, which results from Britain’s largest ever survey into workplace engagement. This year, 391,592 employees across all industry sectors were surveyed and 256,229 responded.
Nedbank Private Wealth International has had an impressive track record over the years, having appeared on The Sunday Times listings for 15 out of the past 16 years. In 2014 the company received a special award for the exceptional achievement of appearing on the list for 10 consecutive years. It was one of only three companies across the UK to attain this.
Stuart Cummins, chief executive of Nedbank Private Wealth International, said: “We are delighted once again to receive such a strong endorsement from our own employees. They are our most important asset and we actively encourage strong collaboration across all our teams, departments and offices. Our aim is to protect our clients, advise them with integrity and make their lives easier, and we appreciate that a fully engaged workforce is crucial to achieving this.”
The Sunday Times listings are compiled by Best Companies Limited and celebrate the very best workplaces in Britain every year. Employees within each organisation are surveyed and businesses are judged based on feedback directly from their staff. The survey explores staff perceptions of eight key aspects of the business: wellbeing; personal growth; fair deal; company leadership; employees’ feelings towards their managers, team and company; and what the company gives back to society
