Trust Administrator (Contract position) 

We are seeking a Trust Administrator on a contract basis within our Jersey Office. The successful candidate will manage a small portfolio and to assist a busy team with the management and administration of a wide variety of Trust and Company Structures. The position will involve working closely with colleagues, to effectively and efficiently deliver a first class service to the satisfaction of the clients, advisors and the Directors of Nedgroup Trust (Jersey) Limited.

Role specific details

• Assisting the team with the preparation of payments, internal checklists, minutes, collation of CDD and other information/ documentation as required.

• Assisting the team with the completion of all trust control functions within agreed time frame, including periodic review, accounts, updating of registers etc.

• Composition of correspondence to clients and intermediaries.

• Attending and taking minutes at the eight-weekly Trust meeting for approval by the chairperson.

• The maintenance of clients records both legal/statutory and accounting for entities under administration ensuring compliance with local legislation and that of the entities local jurisdiction in which it was incorporated/proper law of the Trust

• Compliance with responsibilities set out in the Nedbank Private Wealth procedures manual in general and the Company’s operational section in particular.

• Assist the team with any billing related matters/settlement of invoices as requested

• Completion of time cost recording on a daily basis

• To provide any other assistance to the team as workloads dictate.

• Such other duties as the jobholder’s peers may reasonably request.

Qualifications

Holding or working towards any Table 4 Qualification in accordance with the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998 as it relates to Trust Company Business, however the following are recommended:

• STEP Diploma in Offshore Trust Management
• ICSA Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration
• Technical Skills and Experience
  
• Good knowledge of business and client base
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements
• Organisational skills and excellent interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy, particularly with Word and Excel
• Motivation
