Nedbank Private Wealth is a multi-award-winning private bank and wealth manager headquartered in the Isle of Man, with branches in London, Jersey and a representative office in the UAE. The company provides a full international wealth management offering through its wealth planning, investment management, and banking services, together with trustee and corporate services to both business and private clients worldwide.


We are seeking a Trainee Dealer to join our Investment team and train to become a Dealer in an international private bank. This is the ideal role for a graduate or someone who is looking to start their career as a Dealer whilst studying for professional qualifications.


The role holder is primarily responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Dealing Team, whilst studying towards the CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC). The Dealing Team is responsible for the timely execution of all investment trades for the bank’s clients.


Role specific details

  • To receive and interpret investment instructions accurately
  • To assist with investment instruction execution for securities traded on all major markets, including international equities, bonds and funds, within stipulated deadlines
  • To ensure that procedures are followed in line with policies and practices of the business
  • Responding to a diverse range of ad hoc queries
  • To undertake project work and/or ad hoc tasks as directed by the Investment Administration Executive or Head of Department
  • Propose changes to improve existing processes and systems
  • Input of trade instructions, FX transactions and journals, as required
  • Provide cover for other areas within the department, where training has been received
  • To undertake the CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) qualification within a period of 2 years, in order to become a qualified dealer.



  • Has achieved 3 A-Levels or equivalent
  • Preferred: educated to degree-level

  • Experience in an office environment

  • To gain a good knowledge, both technical and operational, of the procedures and processes within the industry
